In June and again in July, workshops on Mixed Media Painting were held in Bourke at The Bourke High School and the local CWA rooms respectively. The workshops were facilitated by local artist and gallery owner, Rhonda Parcel and were focused on stormwater awareness and overall river and catchment health.

Participants were asked to collect potential stormwater pollutants (cigarette buts, chip packets, cans, bottles etc) that they would regularly use and discard, and ask them to apply these objects to a painting of or about their river.

Both workshops were very successful and provided a range of positive outcomes. The questionnaire results once again indicated an improvement in the overall stormwater awareness.
